SLT, Total Communications Partner for Deyata Kirula 2014

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national telecommunication power house and the nation’s premier ICT solutions provider has come forward once again to support the development initiatives of the Government of Sri Lanka by partnering the Deyata Kirula Development Exhibition 2014, as the total communications partner together with Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel which is the mobile arm of the SLT Group. The Deyata Kirula Exhibition 2014 was inaugurated on 21st February at Kuliyapitiya and will continue until 28th February 2014.

The Deyata Kirula National Development Exhibition organized by the Government of Sri Lanka is being held in Kuliyapitiya this year In line with the vision of bringing development to all regions and sectors of the country,. The exhibition heralds significant development in the Kegalle, Kurunegala and Puttalam districts, including improvements to roads and transportation, agriculture, health, education, telecommunications etc. As a key partner of the exhibition, SLT commenced integrated development work in the Kurunegala, Kegalle and Chillaw areas to enhance the communication infrastructure by the commissioning of MSANs to provide superior ICT facilities to the people of the regions. The company also successfully demonstrated its fixed 4G LTE technology at Ruwanwella, to coincide with the Deyata Kirula National Development programme, to expedite development to the Ruwanwella area through the provision of high speed broadband services to the region. Customers can now receive broadband speeds up to 40 Mbps using 4G LTE services, enabling them to experience a new revolution of seamless connectivity. It will also help to expedite the establishment of e-governance in the country to move towards a Smart Sri Lanka in alignment with the aspirations of the Government.

The SLT Group Stall at Deyata Kirula 2014 National Development Exhibition, is located within the area allocated for the Ministry of Telecommunications and IT, and showcases the diverse product / service portfolio offered by the SLT Group, under the theme “ICT for better life, better tomorrow”. At the SLT stall, customers are offered the opportunity of gaining firsthand experience of several superior services of SLT including voice, consistent, high speed uninterrupted broadband services via ADSL and 4G LTE technologies. An IPTV Experience Centre arranged by SLT Visioncom, permits visitors to gain firsthand experience of IPTV services that creates a revolution in television viewing. An SLT Information Desk available at the stall allows customers to easily obtain any service / product related information, obtain SLT services as well as solutions to any problems that they may have. In addition, SLT Rainbow Pages stall demonstrates their products such as the online directory, wedding directory etc.

As the total communications partner of the exhibition, SLT shoulders the responsibility of providing the following communications facilities for the exhibition: point – to - point leased line connectivity and high capacity dedicated data connectivity on the SLT broadband network through SLT ADSL, novel features of infotainment experience through SLT PeoTV; live experience of wi-fi and 4G LTE fixed broadband.; These services are provided exclusively for many stalls at the exhibition venue.
