The SLT Speed Up theme is an elaboration of the fastest broadband network provided to the nation by the company. SLT as the No. 1 and the most stable Broadband network, the company has carefully chosen the “Speed-Up” theme to connect the company's consistent attempts to provide the customers with ultra high-speed solutions to sports activities, while further expanding its reach to all corners in the island. It is a good sign that the race is planned to cover all the nine provinces, symbolizing the SLT broadband backbone throughout the country.

Several activities will be implemented by SLT in parallel to this event in order to expand its ICT solutions and raise public awareness on the potential of latest technologies and innovations to transform their lives into Smart citizens. In this year, the company has further extended the SLT Speed Up theme by conducting a motorsports and a highly successful karting challenge.

As clearly highlighted in the National Digital Roadmap which was recently launched with a massive gathering, the company has also taken steps to make a huge contribution to the government's mission of transforming the country into a Smart Sri Lanka and events of this kind will also shed a new light on that objective with sustainable outcomes for the future of the ICT landscape in Sri Lanka.
