Sri Lanka Telecom successfully completed another customer forum under the theme “Beyond Borders” for SME customers in the Uva Province to cater to the customers in the Nuwer Eliya and Hatton areas. The customer forum was held recently at Hotel Alpine, Nuwera Eliya, with the presence of Mr. Mahinda Dodampegamage, Mayor of Nuwera Eliya and Ms. Bodhimanna, Divisional Secretary of Nuwera Eliya. Mr. Chinthaka Wijesooriya, Chief Regional Officer / SLT and Mr. Roshan Kaluarachchi, Chief Marketing Officer / SLT and other SLT officers also attended the customer forum. The customer forum was held with the view of sharing ideas on improving the progress of small and medium enterprises since these companies make a significant contribution towards the development of the country. The forum comprised of a live demonstration of SME products such as SLT Teltab (the new fixed smart phone), PEO TV and surveillance camera system as well as presentations on the latest information technology and communication services provided by the company including Cloud computing. The forum especially focused on the ways in which the daily business activities of such enterprises could be conducted effectively. This event was part of a series of SME customer forums conducted by Sri Lanka Telecom throughout the country. One of the key underlying objectives of these forums is to enhance and strengthen the relationship between Sri Lanka Telecom , as the national ICT solutions provider and its valued customers. This forum was conducted under the theme "Beyond Borders", in line with the company’s customer care and customer centric initiatives. Enhancing the living standards of the entrepreneurs who contribute to the development of Sri Lanka has been one of the top priorities of SLT, as the national telecommunication services provider of the country. Various telecommunication services have been provided to SMEs with monthly installment facilities where their initial cost has been invested by SLT. Provincial Sales Manager & dedicated account managers have been appointed in order to provide the SME customers with friendly and customized services. The participants also commented on both the advancements and benefits they have gained through the services provided by Sri Lanka Telecom as well as offered their valuable feedback on ideas for improvements in the future.
